A leading commodity financing intelligence & data provider is hiring a Senior Reporter to deliver vital market intelligence insights. You'll be joining a well-established B2B media business, in a role covering commodity finance; the backend financial mechanisms that create commodity markets. Commodities underpin the world economy, and these financial mechanisms enable their physical and financial exchange. You will be covering these commodity financing mechanisms, for example structured trade finance, and the financial institutions involved in the trade, for example investment banks & commodity trading houses. You'd be reporting in an established editorial team with global reach and a clientele of leading financial institutions, commodity firms and professional services firms.
Key requirements:
- A self-directed journalist with a track record of proactively cultivating and developing sources.
- Experience covering key financial institutions involved in commodity finance: including investment banks, commercial banks, commodity trading houses, hedge funds, insurers & regulators.
- Strong interest in, or working knowledge of, commodities & commodities markets and experience covering commodities financing mechanisms will be strongly advantageous.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce monthly features supplemented by proprietary news and deal focused pieces that provide the organisation's clients with intelligence that puts them ahead of the market.
- Support the production of data reports, an annual market survey, and provide oversight to on the organisation's commodities data product.
- Collaborate with the organisation's events team on their events and chair panels at those events.
