As a Legal Assistant, where better to build on your legal support skills and broaden your knowledge than within the in-house Legal Team of a large, privately owned family business with an annual turnover of more than £200 million? Based at our London Head Office, you will help support a diverse group of businesses operating across the UK and Ireland at an exciting point in its continued expansion.

Media Concierge is an independently owned group spanning print media, websites, direct mail, media planning and buying, digital marketing and transportation. The group is fast-growing and highly acquisitive, creating a varied and evolving legal workload as new businesses join and integrate with the wider organisation.

You will join an established in-house team of two experienced solicitors, both of whom have been with the group for many years. We also work closely with Magic Circle law firms where specialist external advice is required. Providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Legal Team, senior management and shareholders, you will assist across employment, property, contract, corporate and general commercial law, covering both contentious and non-contentious matters.

Your work will include preparing documentation, maintaining records, supporting contract and acquisition-related work, assisting with case files and reports, and liaising with internal stakeholders, external legal advisers and other parties.

So, what do you need to bring?

  • You will be a graduate who can show initiative and be equally comfortable working independently and as part of a team, helping to keep everything running smoothly, professionally and proactively.
  • You’ll be looking to develop your legal career, and possibly have previous experience in a legal support role gained in private practice, in-house or within a consultancy environment.
  • You will bring a willingness to learn, familiarity with legal terminology and procedures, a high level of accuracy, strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organisation and time management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

What else? Common sense, application and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative legal environment supporting a successful and expanding group. The acquisitive nature of the business will give you exposure to an unusually broad mix of contracts, corporate transactions, due diligence, business integration and day-to-day legal matters, together with genuine opportunities to develop your knowledge and career.
