MedGen Healthcare is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with a range of general health needs. This role involves working with children and adolescents in community settings who may require support with complex care needs or additional physical support.
The Role
- Support children and young people with daily living activities, including personal care, washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding where required.
- Assist with mobility and positioning, ensuring comfort and safety at all times.
- Monitor and record vital signs (e.g. temperature, pulse, respiration, oxygen saturation) as directed.
- Assist with medication administration (where trained and authorised).
- Encourage participation in age-appropriate play, education, and social activities.
- Offer reassurance and emotional support to children who may feel anxious about medical procedures or hospital environments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and report any changes in a child's condition promptly.
- Promote a safe, clean, and child-friendly environment.
