MedGen Healthcare is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with a range of general and mental health needs. This role involves working with children and adolescents in community settings who may require support with complex care needs, or additional physical support.
The Role
- Support children and young people with daily living activities, including personal care, washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding where required.
- Provide consistent emotional support and reassurance to children experiencing anxiety, distress, or behavioural challenges.
- Support children with autism and ADHD to manage routines, transitions, and sensory sensitivities.
- Assist with mobility and positioning, ensuring comfort and safety at all times.
- Monitor and record vital signs (e.g. temperature, pulse, respiration, oxygen saturation) as directed.
- Assist with medication administration (where trained and authorised).
- Encourage participation in activities and promote social interaction.
