MedGen Healthcare is seeking compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) to deliver high-quality, therapeutic care to children and young people with complex mental health needs. This role involves working with children and adolescents presenting with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and other additional needs.
As an RMN, you will play a pivotal role in clinical assessment, care planning, risk management, and therapeutic intervention, ensuring young people feel safe, supported, and understood.
The Role
- Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments and contribute to the development and evaluation of individualised care plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and emotional support to children experiencing anxiety, distress, trauma-related symptoms, or behavioural challenges.
- Support young people with autism and ADHD in managing routines, transitions, emotional regulation, and sensory sensitivities.
- Lead on the implementation of positive behaviour support strategies and risk management plans.
- Safely manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using PMVA techniques in accordance with policy and best practice.
- Administer and monitor medication in line with NMC guidelines and organisational policy (where applicable).
- Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation and incident reports.
Requirements
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with active NMC registration.
- Minimum 6 months UK healthcare experience.
- Experience supporting young people with Autism, ADHD, and complex or challenging behaviours.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- In-date PMVA training (or willingness to complete training).
