Days: Monday to Friday

Timings: 3:30pm to 9:30pm

MedGen Healthcare is seeking compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Mental Health Healthcare Assistants to provide high-quality care and support for a young girl with complex mental health needs. This role involves supporting this young girl with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and diabetes. You will play a vital role in helping young people feel safe, understood, and supported in their daily lives.

The Role

  • Provide consistent emotional support and reassurance to children experiencing anxiety, distress, or behavioural challenges.
  • Support children with autism and ADHD to manage routines, transitions, and sensory sensitivities.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mealtimes, hygiene, and maintaining a structured routine.
  • Implement behaviour support plans and positive behaviour strategies in line with care plans.
  • Safely manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using PMVA techniques where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate, clear, and timely records of care provided and incidents.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, structured, and stimulating environment tailored to individual needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months UK experience working as a Healthcare Assistant.
  • Experience supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
  • In date PMVA training (or willingness to do).
