Job Role: Payroll Administrator

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Base: Sutton Office, SM1 1JB

Hours: 24 hours per week, Tuesday-Thursday shift pattern can include 8:00am-5:00pm/8:30am-5:30pm

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Job Overview: Working within the Healthcare Recruitment industry, the payroll administrator plays a vital role in maintaining a database of workers. You will manage all payroll activities for our Republic of Ireland business, confirming hours and pay rates, recording financial details in our payroll database, and ensuring a smooth and efficient Pay as You Earn (PAYE) process. You should be familiar with standard payroll software and processes as well as possess excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Your Role(s):

  • Managing payable hours for Ireland payroll workers.
  • Managing spreadsheet based timekeeping systems and manually collecting and reviewing timesheets.
  • Maintaining accuracy of numbers of hours employees have worked against timesheets.
  • Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll-related matters.
  • Resolving issues employees have with timesheets, payslips, and other payroll matters.
  • Changing employee bank records when necessary to process payments accurately.
  • Investigating expenses and calculating reimbursements in line with company set budgets.
  • Generating client invoicing on a weekly basis.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed.

Objectives:

  • Ensure the accuracy of weekly payments to workers and invoices to clients.
  • Provide exceptional service to our clients by maintaining an efficient payroll process and communicating changes to pay rates or dates promptly.
  • Review and update timesheets and documents required to assist the payroll process on a monthly basis.
  • Assist the Credit Controller and Finance controller with the payroll process for Medgen Healthcare Ireland.

  • Proven work experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office and payroll software programs.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.

  • Able to work autonomously, and as part of a team.
