MedGenHealthcare are looking for compassionate and dedicated mental health care assistants to provide essential care and support for people with diverse needs. This role involves working closely with children/adolescents in care, those with disabilities, or those requiring emotional and behavioural support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emotional, social, and practical support to children in care.
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational activities.
- Work closely with families, carers, and healthcare professionals to ensure children’s well-being.
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
- Help children develop essential life skills and independence.
- Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding policies.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a healthcare assistant with children/adolescents who have mental health needs.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child welfare practices.
- Ability to provide a clinical reference.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Indate PMVA training (or willingness to do one).
