Operational Support Assistant
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £23,927 per annum

Who are Medequip Connect?
Medequip Connect provides services to over 50,000 people nationwide with the objective of providing reassurance and support to older, disabled or vulnerable people allowing them to remain safely in their own home.
We help people to maintain independence by providing Technology Enabled Care (TEC) and a range of associated equipment that gives them the confidence of knowing that assistance is available at any time, 24 hours a day. Our care technology services provide peace of mind to you, your family, and your friends.
About the role
Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Provide administrative and general office support, including answering telephones, distribution of information, post, stock‑taking of PPE and TEC equipment, etc.
- Work with the Implementation and Innovation manager to learn about the TEC.
- Take and process new referrals for clients.
- Schedule the technicians/responders’ diaries with appointments.
- Liaise with our new Contracts Council colleagues, customers, their families, and third‑party community services such as GPs, nurses, social workers, and voluntary groups.
- Assist with promotional activities and local marketing campaigns.
- Assist with the set‑up of new client equipment and process returned equipment.
- Process and update client data on databases including UMO CRM and liaise with the ERC (Emergency Response Centre).
- Manage stock in/out of the office.
- Assist the accounts team to process payments and take credit card payments from clients.
- Handle client information in a sensitive and confidential manner.
- Observe and comply with Company procedures and policies including Financial Regulations, Equality and Diversity, and positively implement the Company’s customer care and complaints policy.

Qualifications and experience required.
- Deliver a service with empathy and care.
- Ability to manage own workload and work unsupervised.
- Ideally has driving licence and uses a taxed and appropriately insured vehicle for business use.
