This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing clinical team in London as an Occupational Therapist. You will provide expert equipment advice and support to prescribers, commissioners, operational staff, and the community, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective service.
You will help develop and deliver innovative solutions, supporting both our BHR (Barking, Havering, and Redbridge) and Kingston contracts, working closely with prescribing teams, managers, and commissioners to achieve service goals.

The Role
As the Clinical Advisor/ Occupational Therapist, you will work with the senior management team, referrers, commissioners, suppliers, and operational teams to successfully deliver a person-centred Community Equipment Service that supports individuals accessing the right equipment to support their needs at the right time. You will have extensive experience and have undertaken either management or specialist roles in your field of work.
- Specialist Support & Advice: Provide guidance to referrers, managers, and colleagues. Maximise recycling of specialist equipment. Review and oversee special orders.
- Clinical Expertise & Procurement: Advise on supply, suitability, and procurement of equipment. Ensure best value and clinical effectiveness. Work with health and social care professionals and CES commissioners. Develop best practice for equipment provision. Maintain clinical governance and safe working practices.
- Training & Demonstration: Deliver training sessions and equipment demonstrations according to contract needs. Work with CES managers to ensure accurate catalogue systems. Maximise utilisation and ensure value for money.
- Team Support: Collaborate with depot managers and staff to support contracts. Part of a national clinical team with strong peer support, CPD, induction, and supervision under the Head of Clinical Services.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy
- To be registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Significant post-qualification experience at a senior level
- Significant experience of community equipment services, particularly with "specials".
- Solid IT skills to use Microsoft Office packages and multiple in-house systems.
