About the role: As the TEC Assessor Technician for Medequip Connect, you will deliver Technology Enabled Care (TEC) assessments, installations, and ongoing support within the community. You’ll help vulnerable and disabled people remain safe, independent, and supported in their own homes by identifying and installing the right assistive technology solutions. Using clinically led approaches, you’ll assess needs, manage risks, and deliver personalised TEC packages that promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for service users and their carers.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Carry out TEC assessments for people with disabilities, frailty, or complex needs
- Install, upgrade, and demonstrate TEC and assistive technology equipment in service users’ homes
- Recommend appropriate TEC solutions based on assessed needs and risks
- Provide aftercare, education, and ongoing support to service users and carers
- Conduct service calls, fault-finding, equipment collection, and maintenance
- Maintain accurate service user records and manage stock transfers
- Work collaboratively with health, social care, and other professionals
- Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing training
- Follow health & safety procedures, including risk assessments and safe working at height
- Maintain company vehicle and equipment to required standards

Qualifications and experience required:
- Full UK driving licence
- GCSE level education (including Maths and English)
- Experience working with vulnerable adults (older adults, physical or learning disabilities, mental health)
- Experience completing assessments and recommending TEC or assistive technology solutions
- Strong IT skills (or willingness to learn)
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Empathetic, calm, and customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload
- Ability to work at height (step ladder use)
