About the role

As the Specialist Engineer for Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd you will be responsible for assessing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining a range of equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Assess, inspect, service, and repair equipment in accordance with company procedures and manufacturer specifications.
  • Diagnose faults and identify appropriate repair solutions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
  • Receive, process, update, and confirm work orders using computer‑based systems.
  • Install, deliver, service, and repair equipment at customer premises.
  • Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer support, answering technical queries where required.
  • Work independently to manage assigned tasks and service visits.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other departments to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Manage tools, equipment, and spare parts required for service and repair activities.

Qualifications and experience required

  • Full, valid driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required; will have access to a company van.
  • Ability to work safely and follow established procedures.
