We are looking for additional Examination Invigilators to work with the existing team in the effective supervision of all examinations at Meden in a calm, friendly but authoritative manner. The role may also include acting as a Reader, Scribe and Practical Assistant for students who have qualified for access arrangements because of special educational needs and disabilities; therefore, strong literacy skills are required.
The post would be ideally suited to applicants who feel a sense of responsibility for today’s young people and who are able to work flexible daytime hours, sometimes at short notice. Previous experience would be an advantage but full training will be provided and working hours will be negotiated for each exam period. Experience of working in a school environment is advantageous but not essential; however, good communication skills and a willingness to learn are essential.
Full induction training and support will be given to the successful applicant. Applicants should have experience of, or a real interest in working with children, in the 11-16 age range. The school is committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children. All candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
