Travel Requirement: Candidates must be willing and able to travel to the assigned NHS Trust location.

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Consultant in General Medicine to join a reputable NHS Trust on a locum agency basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated consultant seeking an immediate start with the potential for a long-term placement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients within General Medicine services.
• Conduct ward rounds, patient assessments, and clinical reviews.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Supervise and support junior medical staff.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Contribute to service development and clinical governance activities.
• Participate in the on-call rota where required.
• GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Entry on the Specialist Register for General Internal Medicine (or equivalent experience).
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Must be available to start ASAP.
• Must be flexible and willing to travel for the assignment.
• Recent NHS Consultant experience in General Medicine.
• Experience working in acute medical settings.

Essential Requirements

• GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Entry on the Specialist Register for General Internal Medicine (or equivalent experience).
• Previous NHS experience at Consultant level.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Must be available to start ASAP.
• Must be flexible and willing to travel for the assignment.

Desirable Requirements

• Recent NHS Consultant experience in General Medicine.
• ALS certification.
• Experience working in acute medical settings.
