Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Consultant in General Medicine to join a reputable NHS Trust on a locum agency basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated consultant seeking an immediate start with the potential for a long-term placement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to patients within General Medicine services.
- Conduct ward rounds, patient assessments, and clinical reviews.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Supervise and support junior medical staff.
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Contribute to service development and clinical governance activities.
- Participate in the on-call rota where required.
Essential Requirements
- GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Entry on the Specialist Register for General Internal Medicine (or equivalent experience).
- Previous NHS experience at Consultant level.
- Strong clinical and communication skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Must be available to start ASAP.
- Must be flexible and willing to travel for the assignment.
Desirable Requirements
- Recent NHS Consultant experience in General Medicine.
- ALS certification.
- Experience working in acute medical settings.
