Role Overview:

Locum doctors will support clinical teams across the Trust to ensure safe, effective, and timely patient care. Responsibilities vary by grade.

Responsibilities:

  • SHO: Initial patient assessment, Ward cover, Basic clinical procedures, Supporting senior clinicians
  • SPR / Middle Grade: Managing acute admissions, Leading ward rounds, Supervising junior doctors, Performing advanced procedures
  • Consultant: Clinical leadership, Decision‑making for complex cases, Supervising full medical teams, Contributing to service development
