Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Locum Consultant Dermatologist to join a busy NHS Trust on an agency locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant with substantial NHS experience to support dermatology services and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive dermatology services, including outpatient clinics, diagnosis and management of dermatological conditions, and participation in multidisciplinary discussions where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver consultant-led dermatology outpatient services.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of skin conditions.
- Provide clinical leadership and support to junior medical staff where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement activities.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Adhere to NHS Trust policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practise.
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Dermatology or equivalent eligibility.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working at Consultant level in Dermatology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Experience in skin cancer services and minor procedures.
- Previous experience working within NHS dermatology departments.
- Participation in audit, teaching, or quality improvement projects.

- Occupational Health clearance.
- Mandatory training certificates.
- References covering recent employment history.
