MedBridge Healthcare is seeking an experienced RPSGT to work in our Wilmington, NC sleep lab at Sleep Care of Wilmington. The position will provide sleep services on an as needed basis to facilitate MLSTs. Competitive hourly rates available, depending on experience. Additional pay per shift for attending/scoring productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate tests and collect data.
- Prepare equipment, record activities, and analyze results.
- Follow proper polysomnographic procedures including use of electrodes, sensors, calibration of equipment, and fitting of airway pressure masks.
- Analyze (score) clinical events such as respiratory and cardiac episodes, and tabulate final data to submit for further review.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and laws concerning safety control.
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or higher education level.
- Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program.
- Certified by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and NC Medical Board License.
- Certification in basic cardiac life support (BCLS) and/or CPR.
- Vaccination and immunization records or titers may be required.
Physical Demands:
- Employee regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Employee is required to use hands to operate office equipment.
- Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
