Medbar is a busy, high-energy bar and club right in the heart of Oxford Street, and we are on the hunt for a confident, outgoing Bartender/Pot Wash who knows how to bring the vibes and keep the party flowing. This role is perfect for someone who loves nightlife, thrives under pressure, enjoys engaging with customers, and isn’t afraid to upsell premium spirits while delivering top-tier service.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Mixing, preparing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to Medbar standards
- Engaging with customers, hyping the atmosphere, and getting guests into full party mode
- Confidently upselling spirits and upgrades (e.g. Smirnoff to Grey Goose or AU Vodka) to maximise sales and enhance the guest experience
- Taking drink and food orders quickly and accurately, including during our popular bottomless brunches
- Handling cash and card payments accurately and responsibly
- Checking ID and ensuring responsible alcohol service at all times
- Washing and restocking glasses using the glass washer throughout the night
- Keeping the bar fully stocked and service-ready during busy periods
- Cleaning up spillages, broken glass, and maintaining safe, clean club floors
- Maintaining a clean, organised bar area at all times
- Following all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
- Working as part of a fast-paced team to keep service smooth on busy nights
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or retail
- Confident knowledge of food safety and responsible alcohol service
- A big personality — friendly, approachable, and not afraid to chat, laugh, and engage with guests
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to suggest upgrades and premium spirits
- Basic maths skills for cash handling and transactions
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to stay calm and positive in a fast-paced club environment
- Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
