Are you an experienced NMC-registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD) or HCPC-registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist ready for a new challenge? As a PIP Functional Assessor, you'll play a vital part in supporting the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) by conducting Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments. You'll combine professional collaboration with the flexibility of home working, making a real difference to people's lives.
What you'll do:
- Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations for PIP in a professional and empathetic manner
- Analyse clinical information and medical evidence to produce clear, detailed and objective reports
- Work to set standards/targets and respond positively to feedback
- Operate independently while collaborating with clinical and administrative colleagues
- Stay up to date with DWP guidelines, policies and assessment criteria
- Engage in continuous learning to enhance clinical knowledge and practice
- Work from the assessment centre as required
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
- Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
- Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
- Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
- UK right to work (sponsorship not available)
- Strong IT skills (minimum typing speed 35 WPM)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Recent clinical experience with a background in a broad range of settings
- Ability to multi-task and make objective, evidence-based decisions
Desirable:
- Previous experience in functional assessment or clinical decision-making
- Skilled in producing accurate, concise reports
