As aPIP Functional Assessor,you\’ll play a vital part in supporting the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) by conducting Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments. You\’ll combine professional collaboration with the flexibility of home working, making a real difference to people\’s lives.

What you\’ll do

Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations for PIP in a professional and empathetic manner

Analyse clinical information and medical evidence to produce clear, detailed and objective reports

Work to set standards/targets and respond positively to feedback

Operate independently while collaborating with clinical and administrative colleagues

Stay up to date with DWP guidelines, policies and assessment criteria

Engage in continuous learning to enhance clinical knowledge and practice

Work from the assessment centre as required

What We\’re Looking For

Essential:

Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist

Minimum 1 year\’s UK clinical experience

ActiveNMC or HCPCregistration with no restrictions

UK right to work (sponsorship not available)

Strong IT skills (minimum typing speed 35 WPM)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Recent clinical experience with a background in a broad range of settings

Ability to multi-task and make objective, evidence-based decisions

Desirable:

Previous experience in functional assessment or clinical decision-making

Skilled in producing accurate, concise reports
