Locum Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry
Location: Middlesbrough
Rate: £95.00 - £110.00 per hour (PAYE)
Contract Type: Locum (Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm with 30-minute unpaid break, 37.5 hours)
Start Date: Initial 3-month contract from as soon as possible

Role Overview
As a Locum Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry, you will work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care to adults with complex mental health needs. Responsibilities include:
- Forensic psychiatry inpatients/community/prison
- Cover for 6 inpatient low secure female LD beds and FOLS team. Prison sessions also available depending on experience.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree
- Full GMC registration with licence to practise
- Section 12 and Approved Clinician status (or eligibility)
- Current DBS (or willingness to undergo one)
- Experience in adult mental health settings
- UK Right to Work
- Flexible, collaborative, and patient-focused approach
Desirable:
- CCT in General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of achieving it)
- Female LD/forensic experience
