We are recruiting locum Anaesthetic Practitioners to support various specialties across Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford. Whether you are seeking weekday shifts or full-time flexibility, we have roles to suit your lifestyle.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will be part of a multi-skilled anaesthetic team delivering safe, high-quality care across a range of surgical specialties, including:
- Orthopaedics & Trauma
- Head & Neck
- Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- General Surgery
- Urology
- Vascular
You will be:
- Responsible for assisting in the preparation and delivery of anaesthetic procedures for patients undergoing surgery
- Supporting the team to prepare a wide range of specialist equipment and drugs, including anaesthetic machines, intravenous equipment and devices that safely secure the patient’s airway during anaesthesia
- Responsible for monitoring patients throughout the anaesthetic process
- Responding quickly to any changes or complications that may arise
What You’ll Need
Essential:
- HCPC or NMC Registration (RGN/ODP)
- Minimum of 6 months UK based Operating Theatre experience
- Right to work in the UK (No visa sponsorship is available for this role)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable:
- Immediate Life Support (ILS) / Paediatric ILS
- Mentoring or teaching qualification
