Shifts: 09:00am - 17:00pm, Monday - Friday
Location: Orchard House
Job Details: Managing clinical caseload of young people 0-18 with mental health & neurodevelopmental difficulties, prescribing and monitoring medication, participation in day time duty rota covering emergencies across the south/east of the county with crisis team, support for MDT in psychiatric formulation.
At least 6 months experience in CAMHS. Valid driving license. MRCPsyc may be required to travel between sites. Shift pattern: Mon-Fri 9-5. Some agile working considered.

About the Role
As a locum Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS, you’ll play a vital role in supporting young people with complex mental health needs. Your responsibilities may include:
- Conducting psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Developing and overseeing treatment plans
- Working closely with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams
- Providing clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff
What We’re Looking For
- MBChB or equivalent medical degree
- Full GMC registration with a specialist licence to practise in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Section 12(2) Approval
- A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
- UK Right to Work
