Role: Locum Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Rates: £100 - £125 per hour (PAYE)
Shifts: 09:00am - 17:00pm, Monday - Friday
Location: Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital
Job Details: Covering East, West and Central for flexible sessions (Consultant or Specialist reg) to support undertaking ND assessments and possible prescribing in North Wales. Staff are required to work as part of the MDT and be able to undertake work face to face, not virtual, across the health board locality. Experience in Neurodevelopmental assessments/ ADOS/ ADI-r trained is required, it could be CAMHS/Community Paeds, experience in ADHD prescribing and medication pathways. Welsh speakers are welcome.

About the Role
As a locum Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with complex mental health needs. Your responsibilities may include:
- Conducting psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Developing and overseeing treatment plans
- Working closely with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams
- Providing clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff
What We Are Looking For
- Essential MBChB or equivalent medical degree
- MRCPsych or FRCPsych or equivalent
- Full GMC registration with a specialist licence to practise in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Section 12(2) Approval
- A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
- UK Right to Work
