Role overview: We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Support Workers to join our team at Warminster Community Hospital. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to patients with a range of physical, rehabilitation and chronic health needs, helping them maintain independence and dignity during their hospital stay.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
- Support therapeutic activities and mobility as directed by nursing and therapy staff
- Promote independence and emotional wellbeing among service users
- Maintain cleanliness and a safe environment within the ward/unit
- Report changes in patient condition to the appropriate clinical staff
- Support clinical teams with observations, documentation, and equipment checks
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients\’ holistic care needs are met
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of NHS experience
- Care Certificate or equivalent qualification is highly desirable
- Enhanced DBS required (can be processed via Medacs if not already held)
- Up-to-date immunisations: Hepatitis B, MMR, TB, and Varicella
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic
- A genuine passion for supporting patients and promoting wellbeing
