Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate as part of the Pharmacy team to deliver healthcare services, including administering medications to patients.
• Contribute to providing a high-quality pharmacy service and support medicines management initiatives aimed at reducing health inequalities within the prison setting.
• Offer pharmacy-related advice and information to patients, prison staff, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring guidance is tailored to individual needs.
• Work independently within the scope of professional competence while serving as a resource and support for less experienced colleagues.
• Assist in the development and implementation of pharmacy services across all residential wings, which may involve advising patients on the correct and safe use of their medication.

Requirements

• Registered Pharmacy Technican with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Prison clearance – subject to vetting checks
• NVQ, BTEC or equivalent
• Able to work autonomously
