The Remedial Works Account Manager (Engineering Services) is responsible for managing the end-to-end sales process for remedial works identified by Medaco service engineers during planned maintenance, LOLER inspections, repairs, and compliance visits. The purpose of the role is to maximize quote-to-order conversion rates by proactively engaging with customers, managing opportunities through the CRM system, resolving queries, and driving remedial works through to purchase order approval and completion. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the role forms a key part of Medaco’s Sales & Marketing function and plays a critical role in driving remedial works revenue, improving quote conversion rates, and supporting the company’s growth objectives. This is not an administrative role, it’s a commercial, target-driven position where your success directly impacts company growth.

Our service engineers identify significant remedial work opportunities every day. Your role is to own those opportunities, engage customers, and convert them into approved works. You’ll play a vital role in:

  • Driving remedial works revenue
  • Improving quote-to-order conversion rates
  • Supporting customer compliance and safety
  • Contributing directly to MEDACO’s growth

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing all remedial work opportunities identified by engineers
  • Proactively following up quotations to secure purchase orders
  • Building strong relationships with customers across healthcare, education, and commercial sectors
  • Handling objections, negotiating pricing, and resolving queries
  • Managing a dynamic sales pipeline using CRM
  • Tracking and reporting on conversion rates and performance
  • Working closely with engineering teams to understand technical requirements
  • Ensuring smooth handover of approved works for delivery

What we’re looking for:

  • We’re looking for a proactive, commercially minded individual who takes ownership and delivers results.
  • Previous experience in sales, account management, internal sales, business development, or customer relationship management.
  • Proven ability to convert quotations into sales and generate revenue.
  • Strong telephone communication, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and working to targets.
  • Strong commercial awareness and customer focus.
  • Experience of using CRM systems.
  • Confident communicating with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in engineering services, maintenance, or compliance environments.
  • Knowledge of remedial works or service-based solutions.
  • Background in regulated industries (e.g. healthcare, FM, engineering).
