This is a full-time, permanent role to support clinics predominantly in the South / Midlands of England and is a great opportunity for a clinically aware individual to support the delivery of high-quality technical assistance and clinical support to clinicians, surgeons, and patients using MED-EL hearing solution systems across a range of settings.

In this role, you will assist in building positive relationships with multi-disciplinary teams, helping to maintain the company's strong reputation. You will support the delivery of an efficient and accurate clinical service, contribute to addressing basic clinical queries relating to MED-EL products, and help provide education and training on existing products, with opportunities to develop knowledge of future innovations.

We are looking for a strong communicator who has a willingness to learn technical concepts and holds the ability to clearly explain information to people with varying levels of understanding. The ability to rapidly grasp technical concepts and explain them to persons with a variety of knowledge levels is essential.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Provide clinical support to clinics using MED-EL systems, including device checks and supporting appropriate reporting processes.
  • Support non-standard and complex cases, including candidacy decisions and internal device considerations.
  • Carry out mapping/fitting activities, including more complex cases where required.
  • Perform electro-physiological (objective) measurements as appropriate.
  • Provide intra-operative support and measurements when needed.
  • Liaise with clinical and voluntary sector professionals to understand their needs and identify how MED-EL can support them.
  • Deliver training for clinic staff and on new products.
  • Attend and contribute to workshops, conferences and training events.
  • Assist in preparing clinical materials such as leaflets and guidance documents.
  • Maintain appropriate reporting systems, including audit and activity data.
  • Provide clinical support via telephone and email to professionals, patients and families.
  • Contribute to service delivery, including supporting improvements and promoting good clinical practice.
  • Represent MED-EL at meetings and events, sharing clinical, technical and research information.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Audiology health professional background essential, similar to band 6 NHS role expectations.
  • Ability to demonstrate a range of current clinical skills and experience in an NHS (or comparable) clinical setting, including an advanced knowledge of hearing aid and/or implantable hearing devices.
  • Current UK Registration at Audiologist or Clinical Scientist level (or eligibility for immediate registration) via RCCP, HCPC or a similar professional body.
  • Ability to work compassionately with patients of varying age groups.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Audiology or a related field.
  • Experience with MED-EL devices or similar hearing technologies is a plus.
  • Current right to work in the UK status.
  • IT Literacy.
