Mecsol are based in Bristol, operating a wide range of electrical services covering the commercial/heavy industrial sectors. Established for over 30 years, we work with a wide range of clients such as Shell Energy, Puma Energy and Bouygues. We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Plumbing & Heating Based Project Manager to join our team at our Bristol office. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of mechanical engineering projects across the UK, working with a collaborative and forward-thinking team. You will manage mechanical, plumbing, heating, HVAC & gas installations from planning through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage mechanical plumbing, heating, HVAC & gas engineering projects from inception to handover.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines.
- Conduct site visits and oversee on-site activities to ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
- Prepare project documentation including risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs.
- Promote continuous improvement and innovation in project execution.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in construction, building services, hazardous and industrial sectors.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, piping, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Project Management (HNC/HND/Degree), or qualified by experience.
- SMSTS, SSSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications (preferred).
- Hands-on experience in Simpro is an added advantage but not a must.
