Role Overview
As a Static Mechanical Maintenance Engineer qualified to a recognised level (City & Guilds), you would undertake scheduled planned maintenance and reactive requirements.
Reporting into the Contracts Manager and working in partnership with all departments to deliver planned preventative maintenance, reacting to all repair work in the region mechanical/electrical/fabric plant equipment and general property maintenance.
Mobile phone, tablet and uniform would be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Travelling between client sites in Walthamstow, Hendon and London to maintain and repair mechanical building services equipment.
- Working on HVAC systems, pumps, motors, boilers, pipework, and associated plant.
- Carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
- Diagnosing faults and completing service reports using a tablet.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge
- Experience performing works with mechanical pipework services, valves, motors, pumps, bearings, HVAC plant & equipment.
- Extensive experience in general building services; industry relevant qualifications (e. g., plumbing repairs).
- Recognised qualification in at least one maintenance/engineering discipline.
- Ability to carry out repairs/replacement of plant, fixtures and fittings as required.
- Ability to carry out servicing and repairs of onsite plant, fixtures, and fittings.
- Ability to organise various housekeeping tasks and arrangements.

- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Good IT skills.
- Mechanical knowledge.
- FM knowledge.
- Plumbing knowledge.
- PDA experience.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑motivated.
- Ability to work on your own or as part of a team and make calculated assessments of breakdowns.
