The Role

This position involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance to HVAC plant, including reactive, faulty finding and extra works/emergencies as required by our client’s.

Candidates should have a strong background in building services within a commercial sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • To undertake planned preventative maintenance, servicing and repair works across various contracts.
  • To regularly and effectively communicate with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors to maintain and develop excellent relationships and ensure smooth operation of the business.
  • To provide boiler/combustion servicing and repair works across various contracts.
  • Maintain low pressure boilers, high pressure boilers, power boilers, steam boilers and hot water heating systems.
  • Replace defective valves, filters, or steam gauges.
  • Monitor boiler systems to ensure it is operating safely and properly; facilitate periodic boiler cleaning.
  • Address any problems with boiler systems and notify maintenance when needed.
  • Contact relevant manager concerning potentially dangerous equipment or safety violations.
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance, servicing and repair works across various contracts in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Attend to call outs during normal working hours and be part of the out-of-hours emergency call out rota.
  • Candidate Requirements
  • Knowledge of Commercial & Domestic heating systems and associated plant with relevant qualifications.
  • Previous experience working as a mobile engineer working across multiple sites.
  • Strong building services experience, good faulty finding knowledge & understanding of building compliance.
  • Have previously worked as a mobile engineer.
