We are currently seeking a Building Services Engineer to join our team, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) across our sites around Thames Valley North area. You will carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs across a varied portfolio of client sites, working independently but supported by a dedicated helpdesk and contract management team. The Role

As a Van Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs across multiple customer sites. You will work independently while maintaining close communication with clients, subcontractors, the helpdesk team and contract managers to ensure the highest levels of service delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance works
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and building services plant
  • Attending breakdowns and service calls
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting on completed works
  • Liaising with clients and providing updates on work progress
  • Maintaining site logbooks and compliance documentation
  • Participating in the out-of-hours emergency callout rota
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Completed a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship or be a time-served maintenance engineer
  • Strong knowledge of M&E building services
  • Experience working with HVAC systems, boilers, air conditioning, ventilation, heating and cooling systems
  • Understanding of Legionella awareness and health & safety regulations
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
