FMS Fire and Security provide consultancy, design, tender, installation, commissioning, training, maintenance and service for single, integrated and multi-discipline electronic fire and security systems.
These systems incorporate Fire Detection, Fire Extinguishing Systems, Intruder Alarms, Closed Circuit Television, Access Control, Emergency Lighting and Voice Evacuation Systems, as well as Gates, Barriers, Turnstiles, Cabling and Security Lighting.

Location: Edinburgh/Glasgow Role Overview This is more than a design management role.
You will have the opportunity to influence business strategy, develop design standards, mentor and grow the design team, and play a key role in supporting FMS's continued expansion.
You will take overall responsibility for the design function, leading fire and security system designs from concept through to completion while ensuring compliance, quality, efficiency and commercial success.
Ensuring that designs and costs are issued promptly and in such a way that project installations go smoothly.
You will lead a design team focused on design improvements ensuring compliance with Industry Standards and to support the development of design team.
Responsibilities To lead the design of both fire and security systems - using both 2D and 3D CAD modelling software Support the preparation of design costings, technical submissions and tender documentation.
Assist relevant project managers where required and other members of the team.
Provide technical knowledge and support.
Produce detailed component / Cad drawings.
Review tender packages and ensure compliance with specification and selected material.
Skills And Experience Required Experience in designing fire and security systems.
Good commercial awareness and experience of competitive tenders.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Full UK driving licence.
