This is a position for a qualified, multiskilled, general building services engineer who can carry out PPMβs and reactive maintenance. This position is for a one manned site.
Location: The Worthing Clinic, Bristol
Salary: Competitive (Depending on experience)
Overtime will be available, call out would also be applicable to this site.

Responsibilities
- To undertake planned preventative maintenance, servicing and repair works across various contracts.
- To regularly and effectively communicate with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors in order to maintain and develop excellent relationships and ensure smooth operation of the business.
- Liaising with internal Acorn helpdesk and administration teams to create a collaborative and successful support function.
- Attend to call outs during normal working hours and in addition will be part of the out-of-hours emergency call out rota.
- The individual will be expected to organise their work and time efficiently and to work supportively within a team.
- Punctual site attendance, well-presented and wearing relevant PPE and clothing.
- Completing and submitting clear, concise and accurate reporting for works carried out and any further work required.
- To be in regular communications with the Contracts Managers on the relevant job progressions.
- Giving necessary updates to clients as and when required.
- Reviewing and maintaining all log books or relevant documents for completion of a particular task.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Knowledge
- Knowledge of M&E building services.
- Knowledge of HVAC plant i.e. A/C, boilers, controls, heating and cooling systems, ventilation.
- Understanding of Legionella.
- Understanding of overall Health & Safety.
- Experience working within an NHS facility would be beneficial.
Personal Qualities/Skills
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated.
- The ability to work on your own or as part of a team and make calculated assessments of breakdowns.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds in Mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook).
- Time served mechanical/maintenance engineer (apprenticeship).
- Water Bylaws β Essential.
