Location: Newton Aycliffe

Hours: Monday to Thursday (39 hours/week, Fridays off)

Salary: Β£15.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CAD/Machinist to join our team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in CAD and machining who is eager to grow within a reputable company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings
  • Use CAD software such as AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or Delcam
  • Create and modify engineering drawings for steel and aluminium moulds and mould parts
  • Generate templates and post-process CAD files
  • Work with both metric and imperial measurements
  • Reverse engineer components and prepare CAD data for machining
  • Operate lathes and/or machining centres
  • Produce parts with complex profiles, contours, and diameters

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in CAD software and machining processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Experience with both metric and imperial systems preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and participate in in-house training
  • A practical CAD and drawing interpretation test will be conducted during the interview
