We are looking for a SHE Coordinator to play a key role in upholding and championing safety standards across our operational site. Working closely with the SHEQ Manager, you’ll support the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and ensure a robust and proactive SHE culture is maintained. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in safety and compliance, with exposure to a high-hazard, regulated site and the opportunity to work with teams across operations, maintenance, and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out daily safety walkdowns and reviews of on-site activities
- Act as a key point of contact for SHE event reporting, investigations, and action follow-up
- Deliver SHE inductions and training to staff, contractors, and visitors
- Coordinate risk assessment and method statement reviews
- Contribute to safety communications, toolbox talks, and SHE bulletins
- Support environmental compliance, waste management, and site recycling initiatives
- Assist with internal audits, contractor assessments, and safety meetings
- Play an active role in promoting site-wide safety culture and initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
- 1-3 years’ experience in a SHE role, ideally within an industrial or COMAH-regulated environment
- Working knowledge of UK SHE legislation and standards (e.g. COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, PSSR)
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or currently working towards)
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with people at all levels
- A proactive, detail-focused individual who leads by example
