Our client, a major player in the industrial manufacturing sector, is looking for an Environmental Engineer to join their Hartlepool site and become a key figure in driving environmental performance forward. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that’s not just meeting compliance requirements but setting new standards for sustainability and environmental care.

This is a hands-on, site-based role where you’ll be out and about - making things happen, building relationships, and being the trusted voice on all things environmental.

  • Supporting the business in meeting legal and permit requirements
  • Monitoring and reporting on key areas such as air quality, emissions, water, and waste
  • Collaborating with the Environment Agency and internal stakeholders
  • Contributing to risk assessments and supporting incident investigations
  • Playing a key role in environmental improvement projects across the site

You’ll work as part of a close-knit environmental team, but you’ll interact with people from all levels and departments - from operators to senior managers.

A strong understanding of UK environmental regulations is required. Experience with ISO 14001, the Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR), or working with the Environment Agency would be a bonus - but don’t worry if not, our client is committed to supporting your development in these areas.
