This exciting opportunity is based in Aberdeen, Scotland and will involve the design of Electro Hydraulic (EH) control systems, assembly packages and sub-systems primarily for IWOCS market whilst supporting full spectrum of installed base EH control systems.

Provide technical support to the Customer Services group for the purpose of maintenance & refurbishment of company and customer owned equipment.

Provide technical support to the Field Service group during the offshore installation and commissioning process.

Provide technical support to the Workshop group for the purpose of new build, maintenance & refurbishment of company owned equipment.

Liaise with Procurement group on technical input with purchased equipment to ensure engineering requirements are met.

Responsibilities

Ability to originate and check drawings, documents, design notes, BOMs and part numbers (approve these also) in SAP R3, PLM and Workflow.

Ability to interpret functional design specifications, hydro/electric control system designs, and also confirm compliance by carrying out appropriate calculations, not limited to the following:

  • Ability to modify existing control systems and associated documents to meet changing requirements.
  • Ability to write flushing, pressure testing, function testing procedures for hydro/electric control systems.
  • Have a good system understanding of any one of the various product lines: i. e.: Workover Control Systems, Production Controls Systems, Blow-Out Preventer Control Systems, and Topsides Control Systems.
  • Ability to provide technical responses to service/workshop personnel for above product lines.
  • Ability to attend design reviews and act as responsible engineer.
  • Ability to provide technical and commercial support to bids and quotations.

Educational

  • BSc degree qualification in Electrical or Mechanical discipline along with 2 years relevant product experience.
  • or
  • HNC qualification along with a minimum of 5 years relevant product experience.
  • Product

Operational knowledge of IWOCS / Hyd Control Systems. Software Systems knowledge desirable, although not essential.

Hydraulic and electrical schematic interpretation.

SAP R3, PLM & Workflow interrogation.
