The responsibilities of the role are:
- Client briefing and stakeholder management.
- Mechanical specification and equipment schedules writing.
- Undertake heating, cooling and ventilation calculations.
- Produce, and manage others to produce, detailed calculations using industry standard digital tools.
- Work in partnership with the client's global technology centre (GTC) to add value to building services projects.
- Represent the client at meetings with clients and contractors.
- Carry out site surveys and site progress reviews.
- Manage project delivery.
- Assist in the development and mentoring of others within the team.

The preferred characteristics that we're looking for are:
- Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering or related subject.
- Chartered Engineer with CIBSE / IMechE or working towards chartership.
- Good level of computer literacy in Microsoft packages.
- Experience and awareness of mechanical design tool software packages such as IES, HEVACOMP, NBS and Revit.
- CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant (LCC).
- Experience working in a design consultancy and/or experience of working within a contractor design environment is essential.
- Have a detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards.
- Able to take charge of project deliverables, make decisions, act on own initiative and operate in a pro–active way.
- Awareness and management of available project budget.
