This is a hands–on leadership role where you will drive mechanical design from concept through manufacture, installation and commissioning.
The Role
- Lead the mechanical design of complex industrial process equipment
- Own the CAD system (Solid Edge), standards and design release process
- Design bespoke machinery and integrated material handling systems
- Ensure correct integration of RF, high–voltage and electrical control systems
- Oversee documentation, compliance and design quality
What We’re Looking For
- Degree–qualified Mechanical Engineer (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience designing bespoke industrial machinery or process equipment
- Strong 3D CAD skills (Solid Edge preferred; SolidWorks/Inventor/Creo welcome)
- Sheet metal, frames, enclosures and structural design expertise
- Experience integrating electrical systems with exposure to RF assemblies and high–voltage equipment (desirable)
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and drive systems such as servo/stepper motors (desirable)
- Strong grasp of DFM/DFA, tolerancing and manufacturing processes
- Understanding of CE / UKCA compliance (desirable)
