An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CAD Layout Engineer/Technician to join an established and growing machinery manufacturer. The company designs and delivers complex production environments across multiple manufacturing sites, and this role sits at the heart of that process. This position offers end–to–end involvement in facility planning, from initial layout concepts through to detailed 2D and 3D design, with the opportunity to contribute to a brand new facility build alongside ongoing site development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and develop production line layouts across current and new manufacturing facilities
  • Create and maintain accurate 2D factory layouts and 3D models of production environments
  • Produce P&ID drawings in support of process and facilities teams
  • Survey existing production lines and sites to ensure layouts remain current and accurate
  • Collaborate with project managers and cross–functional teams to meet project milestones
  • Manage and maintain facility layout documentation across multiple production sites

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor (Factory Design Suite)
  • Proven experience in factory and production line layout design
  • Good understanding of food processing equipment and manufacturing environments
  • Experience producing P&ID drawings
  • High attention to detail with a meticulous and methodical approach to work
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work closely with project managers and wider teams
  • Experience surveying production lines and factory environments
