We are a UK–based engineering company delivering complex, bespoke mechanical systems for clients across the globe. With the majority of our projects based in the US and UK, we operate at the forefront of precision engineering in high–performance, heavy industry environments. We are now looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering multiple high–value engineering projects.
The Role
This is a hands–on, senior–level position where you will take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously, working across the full lifecycle from concept through to installation. You’ll be operating in a fast–paced, high–pressure environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams while managing up to 10–15 projects at various stages.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing complex mechanical systems and assemblies
- Developing and refining hydraulic systems
- Working closely with electrical engineers on control systems integration
- Producing detailed manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
- Managing projects from concept through to installation
- Supporting fabrication and providing input during on–site installation
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
- Driving continuous improvement and engineering excellence
What We’re Looking For
- 10–15 years' experience in mechanical design within complex industrial environments
- Background in heavy industry, structural engineering, or moving mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of:
- Hydraulics
- Automation and machinery
- Control systems
