Due to our continued growth, Mechanica Utilities Ltd are pleased to advertise this exciting opportunity as a Finance Assistant, working from our Dover HQ. This is a key role responsible for assisting the Finance Manager and Head of Finance in all aspects of our financial management and reporting.
Location: Dover, Kent (HQ-based)
Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Inputting data and information into the company’s job costing and accounting software.
- Processing supplier invoices and credit notes within job costing system and on accounts software.
- Raising customer invoices and credit notes within job costing system and on accounts software.
- Entering timesheet hours onto job costing system and payroll sheet (when required / cover for HR Assistant).
- Assisting with typing up purchase orders in job costing system (when required / cover for Planning Co-ordinator).
- Processing online bank payments to suppliers and staff reimbursements.
- Importing online bank transactions into our accounts software and categorising the revenue and expenditure.
- Assisting with month end duties, which include producing reports on job costing system, issuing customer statements and reconciling supplier statements within the accounts software.
- Typing up expense claims into spreadsheets and booking costs to job costing system, where relevant.
- Administration of the CIS spreadsheet.
- Support with any general day to day administration and help in periods of annual leave, which will include creating new suppliers and customers within job costing system and accounts software and assisting with the completion of any necessary paperwork.
