Mech Tech Professionals require a mechanical engineer for Bristol. This assignment is for 2 weeks but could be ongoing for the right candidate and if the business requirements allow it, currently working 4 on 4 off Rota Nights.
- Responsible for ensuring that the company Health, Safety, Environment and Hygiene policies are adhered to.
- Responsible for ensuring the treatment plant is running correctly and efficiently.
- Responsible for all required daily checks on the treatment plant.
- Responsible for all required sampling.
- Responsible for the completion of planned maintenance and ad hoc service.
- Responsible for data entry onto the customer's computerised maintenance software or documentation for all parts used & jobs raised & completed.
- Responsible for housekeeping of all working areas to ensure that the area remains compliant and is audit ready at all times.
- Responsible for your own engineering hand back procedures.
- Ensure tools are kept clean and tidy and accounted for at the end of each shift, ensure the toolbox remains locked when unattended or not in use.
- Responsible for reporting any damaged or lost tool immediately.
- Ensure all work is carried out to specification and that the correct safety standards are met.
- Demonstrate a clear teamwork ethos within the customer site engineering / Treatment plant team, the OM support team and across other departments.
- Excellent timekeeping, attendance, and adherence to company procedures.
- Chooses the most appropriate method and tools for communication.
- Respond promptly and effectively to ensure quick resolution to any issues to minimise any downtime, quality, and efficiency problems.
- Participate constructively as a member of the OM Support team, keeping everyone informed and proactively share your knowledge and expertise within the team.
- Understand and contribute using a range of risk assessment techniques in order to ensure safety of plant, equipment, and people.
- Demonstrate good behavioural and safety principles in all activities.
Skills and Knowledge:
- The candidate should understand engineering requirements and preferably have experience in water treatment or an FMCG environment.
- Competent IT/Computer skills.
- Candidates would require a recognised qualification for Mechanical engineering.
