Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per annum (DOE)
Job Type: Permanent

Mech Tech Professionals are currently recruiting for Electrical Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Design Engineers at both Engineer and Senior Engineer levels. These permanent roles are based at Prospect House in St Helens and offer the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects within highly regulated sectors.

About the Roles:

We are looking for experienced EC&I professionals who can deliver high-quality design work for electrical control panels and associated systems. Whether you\’re ready to step into a senior role or looking to grow within a supportive engineering team, we have opportunities to match your experience and ambition.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and develop EC&I systems based on client specifications.

* Manage or support project delivery through design, manufacturing, and change control.

* Translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions.

* Contribute to planning, cost control, and quality assurance.

* Senior Engineers will act as technical authorities and oversee design estimates and client interactions.

Requirements:

* Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

* Experience in regulated sectors such as nuclear, defence, oil & gas, or power generation.

* Proficient in EPlan P8 (essential); AutoCAD Electrical and AMTECH experience advantageous.

* Strong understanding of:

* Low Voltage Switchgear Design

* Control/Automation System Design

* Motor Control Centre Design

* Variable Drive System Design

* Must be eligible for UK security clearance.
