A leading engineering and industrial services provider is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across Southern England. This is a senior, strategic role focused on expanding multi‑discipline maintenance, engineering and project services across key industrial sectors including Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Power, Process and Pharmaceutical. We’re looking for someone who can win work with Tier 1 contractors, build long‑term client partnerships, and convert complex opportunities into profitable, sustainable revenue streams. What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver innovative business development strategies aligned with regional and sector growth plans.
- Identify, qualify and secure new business across chosen industrial markets.
- Track and manage opportunities through the company CRM, ensuring accurate reporting and pipeline visibility.
- Maximise opportunities within existing accounts while opening profitable new markets.
- Support operational and commercial teams to ensure targets are met and customer value is maximised.
- Build strong relationships with Tier 1 contractors, industry partners and key decision‑makers.
- Develop new networking channels to generate high‑quality leads and strategic opportunities.
- Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies.
- Lead negotiations with new and prospective clients, securing commercially robust agreements.
- Ensure new contracts are deliverable, aligned with internal governance, and set up for long‑term success.
- Support bid and proposals teams with win themes, differentiators and key content.
- Maintain and grow long‑term partnerships, ensuring exceptional service and proactive engagement.
- Represent the client internally, ensuring delivery teams understand expectations and service levels.

What You’ll Bring

- Strong background in Business Development or Sales within Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Power, Process or Pharmaceutical sectors.
- Success selling multi‑discipline maintenance, engineering services, projects frameworks, construction or turnarounds.
- A strong network across Southern England’s industrial and engineering markets.
- Ability to manage complex opportunities, negotiate at senior level, and sell on value.
- Excellent communication skills — written proposals, presentations, and client engagement.
- Highly self‑motivated, organised, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the South.
