Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor – M&E Location: Stoke Salary: £70,000 – £75,000 per annum Benefits: Excellent company benefits, generous car allowance, some hybrid working About the Role: Mech Electrics are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team working on a high-profile new build hospital project in Stoke – M&E Value £8.5 million. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong background in mechanical and electrical (M&E) surveying to contribute to a significant and challenging project, ensuring its successful delivery. Key Responsibilities: Cost Management: Manage and control project costs, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting. Procurement: Oversee the procurement process, including the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and selection of subcontractors and suppliers. Valuation: Prepare and agree on interim valuations, final accounts, and variations with clients and subcontractors. Contract Administration: Administer contracts effectively, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and managing any disputes or claims that arise. Financial Reporting: Produce regular financial reports, providing detailed analysis of project progress, cost variances, and budgetary control. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with project costs and schedules. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within budget and on time. Qualifications and Experience: Education: Degree Qualified Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a significant portion in the M&E sector.
