Mech Electrics is working exclusively with a long-standing client to appoint a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to its Northwest operation. We have recruited for this business for more than 15 years. It has one of the strongest technical reputations in the UK building-services market and employs some exceptionally capable engineers, project managers, commercial professionals and operational leaders.

These appointments are part of the continued development of its regional engineering capability. They are not maintenance positions, facilities-management roles or opportunities to supervise a collection of subcontractors from a distance. The successful engineers will take genuine technical and delivery responsibility for major electrical packages, working from the development of the design and construction strategy through procurement, installation, commissioning and handover.

THE ROLE

You will work as part of an experienced MEP project team, taking responsibility for the technical coordination and successful delivery of electrical building services on substantial, complex projects across the Northwest. Depending upon the project and its stage, your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing employer’s requirements, specifications, tender information and consultant designs
