Electrical Site Manager in Leeds | Freelance | £350 per day | 12 Month Contract

Most Electrical Site Managers can supervise an installation. The best ones coordinate people, solve problems and quietly keep an entire project moving. If that’s how you like to work, this could be the contract you’ve been looking for.

Mech Electrics are recruiting on behalf of a respected Building Services contractor delivering the full MEP installation on a landmark commercial office development in Leeds city centre. This isn’t another routine fit-out. You’ll be joining a 12-month programme delivering a modern, sustainable multi-storey office development with basement plant areas, high-specification building services and a technically challenging MEP installation from first fix through to commissioning and handover.

Working alongside an experienced Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of the electrical installation while coordinating closely with the wider mechanical delivery team to keep programme, quality and safety moving in the right direction.

The role:

  • Manage the day-to-day electrical installation.
  • Coordinate electrical subcontractors and direct labour.
  • Work alongside the Project Manager delivering the full MEP package.
  • Review drawings and resolve installation issues.
  • Identify design clashes before they impact programme.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely and to specification.
  • Manage RAMS, permits and site documentation.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and daily briefings.
  • Drive QA standards throughout the project.
  • Manage snagging and quality close-out.
  • Attend coordination and progress meetings.
  • Support commissioning and project handover.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Electrical Site Management experience within Building Services.
  • Commercial office, healthcare, education or large-scale MEP project experience.
  • ECS / JIB Black Card.
  • SMSTS.
  • 18th Edition.
  • Strong Health & Safety awareness.
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
  • A proactive approach to programme, quality and communication.

What’s on offer:

  • £350 per day.
  • 12-month freelance contract.
  • Leeds city centre location.
  • Major commercial office development.
  • Full MEP installation.
  • Weekly payment.
  • Opportunity to work on a flagship project with a respected M&E contractor.

If you’re the sort of Electrical Site Manager who enjoys solving problems on site, building strong relationships with subcontractors and seeing a technically challenging project successfully through to handover, we’d like to hear from you.
